Get A Soccer Jersey And Celebrate Your Team by Srimae Bagnam

Soccer has been a popular game in England for a number of centuries, but it has only been in recent years that it has become famous worldwide. In the field of international team sports, soccer is said to "rule the arena". It is followed by a vast number of emotional audiences and is associated at certain times with such events as the 1969 "Soccer War", which was between Honduras and El Salvador, and which caused outbreaks of massive hooliganism, particularly by British supporters. No wonder its kits, particularly the soccer jersey, are so popular with the masses. International competition in the Soccer league is regulated by the Federation Internationale de Football Association, or for short, the FIFA association. Its popularity is evident in that the membership of FIFA is even larger than that of the United Nations! And so, it is common to see people donning soccer jerseys when two teams are about to play. People of different countries support their teams irrespective of their performance, be it England, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, America, India, or any other team. The donning of the soccer jersey is just their way of showing their support of their team. A soccer jersey which belonged to an individual player of a particular team during a particular match fetches a lot of money in the case of an auction. If the player is famous, his jersey will be something to die for. It becomes a collector's item. People wrestle each other to get that jersey and the team ends up getting a good price for it. Thus, bidding for soccer jerseys of famous players is a good way of generating good revenue for the various soccer clubs. Another way of generating revenue is by making replica kits of the team and then making them available for the use of the general public. Many clubs are notorious for selling the soccer jerseys at a very high price at the mega stores. Hence, fans buy duplicate jerseys which have been imported from different countries. Many players even donate their jerseys in the name of a good cause. Seeing the popularity of these jerseys, many organizations put the autographed soccer jerseys in fund raising events. Recently, women's soccer teams have become equally famous. They are even playing in the Olympics. So now it has emerged as a serious sport. Thus, we can see female audiences also wearing soccer jersey of their favorite teams, and, thereby, giving them their undisputed support. Hence, both males and females are equally supportive of this world wide game and for the wearing of particular jerseys, which shows pride and support for their particular teams. Just by spotting the jerseys in the audiences, one can be aware which team has got the maximum number of supporters in that ground. It is also a sign of the popularity of that team. The soccer jerseys of the various teams are easily available in all the best known stores. A number of online websites have made their availability even easier. Even more, with the help of various websites, one can always compare the costs of various jerseys and get one at a bargain price.

Soccer Coaching Tips and Drills for a great soccer practise by coach v

How do you have a great soccer practice that is challenging and not boring? Work on the basics, incorporate small sided games, and use this soccer coaching cheat sheet to become a great youth soccer coach. 1) Make sure that every practice ends on a positive and fun note. It can be the worst practice in the world, but if it ended fun and positive that is all they will remember. 2 )Remove the \"Three L\'s\" from your coaching. a) Lines: Never have players standing in lines waiting for a long time for the next turn. \"BORING\". b) Laps: Never have kids run laps. Conditioning should come from practice related games and drills. c) Lectures: Trust me, they\'re not listening and lectures get boring quickly. Make your point in one minute and move on. 3) Break your practices into thirds. 1st - Warm up drills focused on individual technique. (Dribbling, passing, receiving, moves, etc.) 2nd - New skills, movement related sessions, tactics etc. 3rd - Always reserve the last 3rd for small sided games. 3v3 , 4v4 style games. Encourage what they learned in the early sessions. Don\'t direct them. Let them play and give them guidance. 4) Avoid full field practice sessions / scrimmages. Many coaches spend a great deal of their time playing \"big field\" practice games. Some kids will only touch a ball once or twice during a 30 minute \"big field practice game\". Set up small cone goals, 4 feet wide, and keep the teams small. Encourage the \"keep away\" format during these games. Kids will get hundreds of touches in a short period of time. 5) Stick to the basics. Work on what is performed the most in a soccer match. Every practice should include time for dribbling, passing, receiving, defending, and basic movement. 6) 95\". (Any kind of loss will mean failure.) 15) Talk to your teams parents upfront and have them realize these important points. Let them know that Rec Soccer is just that. It is recreational soccer that is designed to be fun, not competitive based. 16)Water is best for youth players. Study after study has shown this to be true. The only time we need to replenish electrolytes and salts is when we have been extremely active for more than 60 minutes. Our bodies simply need fluid. Since most rec players play less than 50, water is just fine. However, if a child doesn\'t like plain water, consider a sugar free drink mix. They will often drink 3 times more than plain water alone and run less of a chance of having an upset stomach during then game. 17) Watch videos such as www.BlastTheBall.com , read books and most of all, watch coaches that are better than you. That is how the greatest coaches in the world learned, from someone else. Recreational soccer coaches play a HUGE role in the future of our sport. Did you know that many professional soccer players started out by playing public recreational soccer? Rec soccer allows many kids their first exposure to soccer. That is where they discover the love for the game. They often move to academy leagues, travel and school teams, but ask them about their fondest memories and they always refer back to their youth days. Your time and efforts will always be remembered by the players you coach. Make sure they are positive and teach them that the game is fun. Win or lose it is about building the love and passion inside the child for a special game we call soccer.

The English Premiership light review for monday- Oladipo Toby(Browncap)

The english premiership for this week has come and gone and the league seems exciting.
The biggest upset fot=r the week was that of Arsenal's well deserved loss to Hull City.Hull city looked promising even though they were not yet into the game as Arsenal got away with an early lead. That didn't face off the Hull city guys as they were ready to go blood for blood and that is while they are called the "tigers".
Suprisingly, Bolton Wanderers could not continue their sweet romance with manchester united as they were defeated two goals to nil. It was quite unfortunate that the whole Bolton team was beginning to crumble and that means that any mistake this could be fatal and really fatal. The Bolton team needs to wake up and as a matter of fact, I am proud to say that i am a fan of Bolton wanderers but things seems not to get better and still I do not want to have a rethink of my allegiance..................it will still get better with my club.
Chelsae kept it comfortable.
Portsmouth finally stopped the bonus month as they took it all out on Tottenham and that finally paid off as they were up with 2 goals to nil in their kitty.Nice for the Harry Redknapp boys.
Finally a more comprehensive repot would be done tommorrow for access to sites on sports on this blog, look it up at the top left, click many cause you never know maybe your diamond is hidden in that site...........see you.......till tommorow.

Mikel Says He can replace Makelele

Mikel John Obi is confident he can take over from Claude Makelele in the Chelsea midfield after the departure of the veteran Frenchman.
Following his controversial move to Chelsea in June 2006, 21-year-old Mikel has only fulfilled a role as a squad player at Stamford Bridge.
But after being handed the holding midfield role during Wednesday's pre-season friendly victory in China, new coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's first game in charge, the Nigerian is now ready to take his chance after Makelele departed for Paris St Germain earlier this week.
"I played that role sometimes last season and hopefully I'll have a long run in the team now," he said.
"It's something I've wanted - a run in the team - and I suppose Claude's departure has opened up that door for me, but I was playing in that role when I was in the team last season too.
"I was in and out of the team last season, but when I was given a chance under (former manager Jose) Mourinho before, I actually did okay in that holding role. I think I did very well under Mourinho and was playing regularly.
"Of course, when a new manager comes in everyone has to start afresh and roll up their sleeves. In Avram Grant's time I was in and out of the side, and that was a bit frustrating, but it's what happens in football.
"This time, under the new boss, I will try to make it my position in the team each week."
Last season Mikel continued to mature in the Chelsea midfield and actually made more appearances than Makelele - possibly a factor in the decision to release the 35-year-old Frenchman for a swansong in Paris.
With a spot now lying vacant in the Chelsea midfield, it is up to Mikel to impress Scolari and win a starting berth in time for the Barclays Premier League opener against Portsmouth on August 17, and then more importantly hold on to the role.
"I'm loving playing under the new manager, even if it's largely been in training so far, but we'll see what happens when the season proper starts. We'll see how it goes," said Mikel.
"I think he's a good man. From what I've seen, he's got a good character and speaks to his players regularly, asking how we feel and, if we have a problem, how he can help us in any way. He's impressive.
"Overall I think he's a good manager, bringing a lot of good things into the team. Obviously, he's already shown that he wants us to play a lot of different systems and formations. We've been used to 4-3-3 in recent seasons and hopefully, at times, we'll still play that way.
"But the manager is versatile and has shown he wants us to be able to adapt as well. We're all looking forward to playing under him."
Mikel will get another chance to impress Scolari in tomorrow's friendly against Chinese Super League side Chengdu Blades in Macau.

European Soccer-Uncertain Future For the Midfielder Xabi Alonso by Ally White

Throughout this summer there were different speculations regarding the Spaniard footballer Xabi Alonso and his transfer to another European football team. One of the main reasons was that Xabi Alonso didn’t look as a vital element anymore for Liverpool’s manager Benitez last season when he lost his spot as midfielder being replaced by Javier Mascherano in 2008. However, as Benitez decided to put Gerrard has second striker, Alonso recaptured his place in the team. But, when the season ended and the summer arrived, different clubs began looking for new players and transfers. In Xabi’s case the clubs interested were Juventus and Arsenal. These two teams were looking for great midfielders with experience and for them Xabi Alonso could be a good fit. The deal with Juventus did not materialize as Liverpool did not want to lower their 18 million GBP price for the Spaniard. On the other hand, Arsenal’s story was very similar, as there were money issues and the bid was to low to be accepted by Xabi, his agent and Liverpool. The English team of Arsenal stated the pricing Liverpool has to be extremely high. The offer made for the Spaniard was 12 million GBP compared to the 18 million GBP that was given by the Reds. However, now that there are no arrangements with other teams, Xabi Alonso will play these four months for Liverpool as he and his agent will wait for better deals in January. The Spaniard midfielder is now focusing in playing well with Liverlpool . Xabi’s profesional career began in 1999 with Real Sociedad when he was just 18 years old. Within a few months Coach Clemente transferred him to play in the second division during 2000. After a disappointing season due to managerial changes, Real Sociedad decided to get John Toshack in 2001. While Xabi became the team’s captain taking the team to a new level, and then even qualifying the team for first time to the UEFA Champions League during the 2002-2003 season. After three years with Real Sociedad, Xabi was transferred with a total of 10.5 million GBP to Liverpool. Xabi has achieved amazing things for the Red, and his has gained status one of the best midfielders in Europe. Internationally speaking in 2006 Xabi was called to play for Spain’s national team during the 2006 Germany World Cup. Xabi scored his first international goal against Ukraine. But Spain did not get further in the tournament. But for the Euro 2008, Xabi Alonso got international glory with Spain when they won in an exceptional way. We know Xabi Alonso is a great player, we hope he will decide the best for his future as he still has a long way to go and a lot of football to show to his fans as well as his skills on the field. For now, we look forward to see him playing his best with Liverpool this season.
